Season Fishing Guide
Crappie Feb-April Pre spawn in mouths of major creeks 10' - 15' until water temperature reaches 63°F, then fish 2' - 5' in back of coves
April - Dec Sink brush piles on drop-offs 15' - 25'. Verticle jig over brush.
Large Mouth Bass Feb-May Shallow water around trees, lily pads, and grass 2' - 6'.
June- Sept 8' - 15' deep on drop offs that have stumps or brush.
Oct-Dec Shallow water as temperature drops go back to deep water.
Stripers Feb-April Spawning run up the lake river beds, up to the Congaree & Wateree Rivers.
May-July Fish livebait in lower lake (Moultrie) 40' - 55' deep.
Aug-Oct Look for schooling fish on surface chasing bait.
Nov-Jan Drift with live herring 25' - 50' deep after finding fish with sonar unit.
Shell Crackers March-May Fish will be spawning around the full & new moons in shallow water 1' - 5' deep.
Oct-Jan Fish the Diversion Canal on the bottom.
Blue Catfish Feb-April Look for 63° - 70° water temperature in 2'- 8' deep.
May-Jan Drift fish 20' - 45' deep after finding fish on sonar along drop-offs.
Flathead Catfish May-Nov Find fish along river channels; anchor boat directly over them and fish live bait.
